In the beautiful city of windcatchers, you can admire their holy sites such as the Fire Temple and the Towers of Silence. Your adventure takes place in the charming scenery of Taft village, 20 kilometres away from Yazd. This lovely village at the foot of mountains filled with fruit gardens and is home to a large Zoroastrian community.
Start a walk in the narrow brick alleyways to encounter local sellers and shop some of the fresh ingredients which will constitute your lunch feast. Have a stop in a local bakery to discover the traditional way of cooking bread, wrapped into the irresistible smell of fresh bread. Then enjoy picking some ripe plums and other fruits in your host's garden and free yourself in a delectable breakfast prepared by Zoroastrians.
After making your stomach full and content, it's time to follow the chief to cook a whole Zoroastrian feast in the peaceful pomegranate garden, from the side dishes to main course, desserts, and drinks that your taste buds will crave for, even after you've returned home. Brief Itinerary
The Yazd food tour starts at 9 AM, from Yazd. After a 30-minute drive, you will arrive in the lovely village of Taft, home to a large Zoroastrian community. Walk into the village during the morning to shop ingredients and bread in a local bakery. In your host's gardens, pick up some fruits to prepare a tasteful breakfast before starting to cook the dish, side dish, dessert of your lunch. Enjoy lunch together in the pomegranate garden before going back to Yazd.
