The package is a semi trekking rout consists of ascending to the highest peak of Guilan, Mount Somamus (3680m) and reaching to the highest limestone mountain, through summer regions. The trip begins in the afternoon of the first day from Qasem Abad village by driving for one and a half hours to Javaher-Dasht village using 4×4 Jeeps.

After reaching the summer region above clouds and forest, you will stay in rural cottages and experience a different stay far from before.

Having local food and relaxing for the night, we will start ascending to Somamus peak in the next early morning.

It takes 6-7 hours conquering the summit. This trekking trail has gentle slopes in the beginning but the slopes get steeper eventually and are perfectly good for photography. The higher altitudes offer a unique view of the Caspian Sea all the way to Chamkhale beach. Sometimes a blanket of fog covers the landscape and it appears as if you are walking over the clouds but then again the sun shines and the fog disappears.

Somamous is the highest peak in Gilan Province and is a limestone mountain. Peaks have always been regarded as glorious and majestic landmarks by ancient Iranians. The word Somamous means “Holy Place" in Gilaki dialect.

After conquering Somamus and enjoying the otherworldly scenery over the ancient Hyrcanian forests it's time to trek back to the summer village and rest some and then review the last past hours upon the Gilan's terrace in the way back to Ghasemabad.
